Superfolder CFP was derived from Superfolder GFP with the following mutations: Y66W
We tested whether the superfolder mutations would improve the folding of color variants of folding reporter GFP. Blue, cyan and yellow fluorescent proteins (BFP, CFP, YFP) were produced from folding reporter GFP and superfolder GFP by incorporating the additional mutations Y66H (BFP), Y66W (CFP) and T203Y (YFP), respectively.
