The data contained in the FPbase are free of all copyright restrictions and made fully and freely available for both non-commercial and commercial use. Users of the data should attribute the original authors of the corresponding data (referenced on the corresponding protein page). By using the materials available in the FPbase archive, the user agrees to abide by the following conditions:

All information on FPbase is provided for research, educational and informational purposes only. We make no warranties regarding the correctness of the data, and disclaim liability for damages resulting from its use. We cannot provide unrestricted permission regarding the use of the data, as some data may be covered by patents or other rights.

Requests for removal

If you believe that any of the content posted to FPbase infringes on a copyright that you own, please contact us to request removal.

Privacy

Browsing information on the FPbase website and retrieval of records using the REST API does not require login or the collection of any personally identifiable information. Contributing and editing data on FPbase requires the creation of a user account. When you sign up for an FPbase account, we ask you for personal information (such as your name, email address, account password). This information is stored on secure servers. We do not share server log or FPbase account information with third parties for marketing or other purposes.

Analytics

FPbase uses Google Analytics to track website usage statistics in order to identify performance bottlenecks and areas of the website in need of improvement. This may include information such as

Error Logging

In order to improve FPbase, we collect server-side error logs and information through third party services (such as Sentry.io). This data may include information such as your device IP address, browser, the time and date, and other statistics describing the nature of the error.
